Get some beats in there

Now, I'm no expert, but one thing I dont like is just the quippy kick drum that seems to be the only thing that comes with FL Studio. Surf the web, find some beats for free, cut em open and play with it. If you go minimal, use effects like reverb to give it depth. Other than that you're fine, keep going, youll get there soon enough, FL Studio really is great.

sithlordkoko responds:

Yeah I've been trying to learn the stuff. I have really enjoyed fooling around with it. Thanks for the suggestion and thank you for not being some troller looking to put someone down. I created this song pretty much as I was beginning with FL Studio. I think I've gotten better since then but I just feel like I make some things reapeat a bit too much. I've been getting too happy wih the playlist feature. I appreciate your review and if you feel like dropping me any suggestions, feel free to PM me any time. I am always trying to explore more stuff... however, there's a lot of stuff! Best wishes to you.

Man I see all the work you put into this.

Man the sonic depth in this is just inspiring
Man the acoustic stimulation in this is just invigorating
Man the artistic detail in this is just humbling.

Hope you trance back to us soon.
(P.S. soundfonts at 2:30 D:< )

=:D

Lovely pianos.

Which is always a winner with me!
Also cool in the way that it really captures the emotion that you communicate through the story.
The beat is a little similar to your other one... "Sunlight Through Dusty Air", was it? :D kudos.

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

Piano's always nice, yeah. I'm glad ya diiiig.

Nice

I loved the piano... was it live, or sampled?
The quote - unquote "marching band" effect really went with the music, though in an interesting and unique way.
And I've gotta say I agree with Ness here: the abrupt stop at 1:45 was too strained, maybe.
Overall, it's a great work - I liked it a lot! oh, and mine was the 100th vote, too.
Good job man.

Box-Killa responds:

twas synths + piano roll

All I could ever want

to hear in a trance song.
And then some.
Great job on the glitches man! *high fives*
Hope to see the game soon!

ElectricalBypass responds:

:D Thanks!

Woot

Great (as usual.) Man your music never fails to impress.
Though i'm not one for heavy metal, though.
It also seems a bit crooked at the beginning, as if the melody didn't fit... or was that an intended effect? lol. Drums are nice too.

Dig the solos at 2:20 and 3:20. Keep it coming.

Metaljonus responds:

The first melody is pretty much the main melody for the song. For what follows after it just a little solo to go right into the track. Thanks for listening! \m/

Great

I love the way you make the backing so dark and...nightmare-ish like (?)
Liked the bass though it would have done well with some variation.
Like an alternate drum track with some sick bass and snares.
Good job man!

OnyxMyr responds:

Thanks for the review, glad you enjoyed listening to it.

Huh

The guitars i liked but the drums were just terr...i mean they really need to be synced with the actual tempo and beat to actually make sense. Maybe you should turn on "snapping" in your program. And add maybe more synths to add depth to the song. Youve got good melodies going on but the drums need a lot of work.

land0lakes responds:

alright, thanks. I don't know if snapping will work in my program. I thought the drums were fine, but still thanks for the feedback. I'll work harder next time.. :) I'll let you know if I remake it.

Catchy is right

I think it'll be in my head for the rest of the day now. :)
Love the rhodes-ish keys around 1:30. Good job man.

mjattie responds:

those rhodes-ish keys are actually a synth

thanks though
